I built it in 1991. Ran fine, got 50 hours on the clock. I got hurt and it's been in dry storage for these years.Again, space permitting I need to teardown the rig and carefully check the airframe and structural components and belts. It's in a closed 26' trailer with no insulation so that has to get updated to work in comfort. It's the love of my life and I'm so bummed all these years got wasted because of my health.I may not ride sleds anymore but I'm sure I'm OK for the CAA medical when needed. Geez, I shoulda had 2000 hours in it by now. I'll post some pictures when I get started, now and teardown and rebuild. Is anyone interested?Craftsman 230a Buzz-box, Lincoln 140T & 180T, Century K2789, PUROX W202 O/A14" cheapo chop saw that cuts straight and square!A toolbox of the cheapest Chinese tools money can buy"Real" tools all old reliable Husky/Craftsman/Proto stuff

Reply:Sure, we're interested, Wally. For far too long, I've been thinking about adding power and wheels to my hang glider. The original landing gear just can't take the abuse any more. I'm intrigued by anything that flies, sails, or floats, so am looking forward to following your rebuild.
Reply:I'm VERY VERY interested!!! Post up some pictures of it in present condition as soon as you can.
Reply:Is it a Roto-way or a Rotorway? Are these two seperate companies?John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:It's a Rotorway. IIRC, Roto-way was the predecessor company that made the Scorpion. I'm not sure but think Roto-way folded up and Rotorway emerged after a few bad Scorpion incidents. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong.Craftsman 230a Buzz-box, Lincoln 140T & 180T, Century K2789, PUROX W202 O/A14" cheapo chop saw that cuts straight and square!A toolbox of the cheapest Chinese tools money can buy"Real" tools all old reliable Husky/Craftsman/Proto stuff
Reply:You may be correct, I was reading Rotorway went through a few ownership changes. It's even on their site. They seem to be a great company, quality product, detailed and good customer support. If I only had $67,000 to buy a kit. Dang, looks like I might have to hold off on the new C6 vette. John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
