Part of the deal I made with the wife when I decided to start following some of my dreams was to do some welding art for her. I like doing some welding art anyway and if she was going to be supportive with me I figured it was a good deal. So my wife always wanted one of those flag poles you hang decorative flags from, so I thought a master fabricator like myself should be able to make something nice. Since it couldn't be very big, I had to come up with something a little creative. So here it is. Attached ImagesMiller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.

Reply:Thanks guys, and yes it was done free hand. It was very hard for me to do as a hand very shaky hands so it takes some concentration for me anyway.  I kinda like doing these kind of things, being creative. wouldn't' want to do it all the time unless it would make me rich, but its kinda fun for a change once and awhile. Here is a couple of other projects I did for my wife last year. Hoping to improve on then now that I has a plasma cutter. they both stand over 7 feet tall. Miller DVI2Lincoln Precision Tig 225Thermodynamics Cutmaster 38Everything else needed.

Reply:Nice flag holder for sure, but I thought there would be more than just one  .  Maybe three more or so across the front.  I kinda made a deal with my lil woman, any artsy stuff she cuts, Ill put it together. She's got the good hands and eye for such things.  So far all she has produced is a bunch of practice pieces all over the floor.  Giggling like crazy while she's devouring good metal.
Reply:I like the Flag Holder. Very nice.  I know that may be dumb question but how do you do details like that. What I mean is how do you cut the detail.I am so new at this.
Reply:Looks to me like he drew it out then free handed it.  Pretty steady for shaky hands.  Very nice stuff.  Im sure the wife is tickled.Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.
