Reply:I hope you get your man (men). You might want to contact the law and see if there were any trailers pulled over for safety violations...they (or you) might have alread thought of that. If not, the thing is probably still pretty local. Just a thought.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.

Reply:I understand your frustration. However, be careful about posting "deliver to me" "dead or alive" stuff on public forums. If by chance something happend to the thieves your suspect number one. Again, I know your anger as I have been there before. Just being cautionary. We had a local case where the DA hired a firm to do searches of forums and sites looking for similar information. He found several personals board where this man had mentioned it would be cheaper to have his wife killed rather than go through the divorce. She came up missing and he was suspect number one.Later..
Reply:Standles is probably right...might want to retract the "dead or alive" offer, just to avoid any legal entanglements yourself...besides, if you don't shoot a thief right after they steal something, they might not know what they are being shot for later on and not learn their lesson.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Smithboy...Sounds like you have been hit on the nose with a rolled up newspaper before. LOL!
Reply:that bites dude i had a whole snap-on tool box full of my favorite race car tools stolen from me and i know the pain... i'll keep an eye open up here in mass..although it probably wont do no good...but you never know ...zap!
Reply:I know alot of good ol boys around here and I'll be on the lookout in the Stephens County area. I know how you feel. Had my backyard shop hit for about 5000 dollars.
Reply:I hope you find out who stole your welding trailer, I understand your frustration. I have worked hard to aquire all of my welding equipment. If someone stole mine ,I would be real mad. I will put the word out around here in south ga.to be on the lookout for it. P.S. let us know if you find it.
Reply:I'll keep an eye out here in N.J. Trailer says Ted and Mike Haney, gotcha. Man, that sucks. It reminds me of one time I had a classic longboard surfboard stolen off of my car roof worth about five thousand bucks. Six years later I see some guy surfing on it right next to me. I went and got a cop and he said I needed proof so I described what was inside of the fin I welded out of .050 aluminum sheet, broke it off and showed him. He arrested me for disorderly conduct and gave my board back to the thief. ******* . I guess the moral of the story is just to stay cool if you find the guy so as to cover your own ***. Good Luck
Reply:Yeah Man stay cool.I was once at a friends house. We were about 40 feet from my truck. A truck drives by once, then again. It slows the second time and a guy jumps out of the bed of the truck grabs a bucket of tools from my truck and returns to the bed of the get away truck. I took off running after the truck, caught the tail gate and jumped into the truck. Amazing what goes through your mind within a split second. As I sat in the truck with the thief, I thought: now what..., I have a wife and two kids..., I am a school teacher..., how do I get out of a truck moving at 35 mph..., bet it would hurt if I jumped out..., where are they taking me..., wonder if they have guns..., etc. The thief in the bed with me was literally crying, saying I did mean to do it. I began to yell at the guys and finally the passenger told the driver to let me out. They helped me unload my stuff and went on their way. The whole thing was over in 1/4 mile. A truly stupid move on my part for 150 dollars worth of c-clamps. Incredible what happen when adrenaline takes over. I'd be willing to bet I covered the distance in world record time and it must have really scared the guys when I jumped in the truck. The people who witnessed it said, the would not believe it if they hadn't seen it. Bottom line stay cool. I am sure your worth more to then 25,000 dollars to loved ones. Also, as stated no need to become entangled by loose language. Check local pawn shops.Sorry to hear about your situation, Krazirbar.
Reply:My uncle is a self-employed country used car salesman. He is also the second cheapest person I know (I being the first). He used to keep a gallon of gas in his office in case someone wanted a test drive. One night, a couple of teenagers stole one of his cars and got exactly 50 yards from the lot before it ran out of gas. They left the car and went back for another one and got another few yards further and that car quit. They were trying to get the third car started when a sherrif's deputy came driving up. My uncle had a writeup on him in the local paper and he was quoted as saying, "if you are going to steal from me, you'ld better bring your own gas."Just thought y'all might like that one.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
