I am having zero luck finding a TIG welder used, I search craigslist constantly. Eventually here, I'm going to have to give it and buy a new machine. I see some really good prices from some sites such as weldingmart.com. Have any of you bought a machine from the web? Some sites offer free shipping on some of their machines. Are there any sites that you can personally recommend? A couple grand is a lot to spend, and I don't want to get robbed. I'm on the fence still about buying an Everlast unit, I'm just worried about the fact that I can't warranty or have it repaired locally. I could probably afford a Miller Syncrowave 200 from a few of the online sites, or a Lincoln Precision TIG 225. They go for about $2000 online. Thanks for any help
Reply:Did you try looking for a local welding supply shop?  I tend to purchase locally unless the price difference is considerable.  This way i'm a "face" and have much better service if a problem with the machine occurs.

Reply:IOC, BR, Scott Gross, Cyberweld, Weldingmart, etc all have competitive internet pricing.  I get similar pricing from my local welding shop cause they know me and I do plenty of business with them.  I prefer to keep my business in the home town whenever possible.MM350P/Python/Q300MM175/Q300DialarcHFHTP MIG200PowCon300SMHypertherm380ThermalArc185Purox oaF350CrewCab4x4LoadNGo utilitybedBobcat250XMT304/Optima/SpoolmaticSuitcase12RC/Q300Suitcase8RC/Q400Passport/Q300Smith op

Reply:Get a price from a reputable distributer like Indiana Oxygen, then bring the price to you local supplier and ask them to match it or come reasonably close. If they want to business, they'll work with you.CWI, CWE, CST for Miller, Lincoln, Thermadyne, Hypertherm & ESABMillermatic 350PLincoln Invertec 205 AC/DCVictor combo torchESAB PCM 1125
