After a day of cutting mild steel my lungs and throat end up irritated. I'm out in the open. There's a breeze, but apparently that's not enough. I've got a half-face respirator with purple, screw-on cartridges that I have NOT been using for O/A applications. Do you guys ever use a respirator, and if so, what color cartridges do you use? Thanks.
Reply:I sometimes weld on metal that has been soaked by diesel, crude oil, gasoline and other oil products and even though its been cleaned there is still some residue in the metal. We are given 3m half face respirators with the pink filters and they work great for what we are doing. the part# for the filters is 2091/07000 and the package also has Particulate Filter P100.
Reply:Thanks. I'll try those. |
