Welded up a Aluminum panel for wog820's train set electronics..We have said many times you need filler smaller than the base material..But with only 1/16 in hand heres a method to overcome such situations..I could have welded the plate to the angle on the edge..But it would have made more of a mess than this way..Move the rail in so you have about 1/8" Of base mat. "hanging out"That way there you can use it as filler and then you only have to "dip" filler every so often..Sorta like fusing but diffrent..Thats about all you can do when you run across this delemma..And it will work with most any Steel/Aluminum thin sheet..I get all the fun jobs.. ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
