Well guys, picked up my welder sunday and finally got the hang of it last night (wednesday). Today, I was setout with my project of a rollcage. Got home from school and started. As you can see, the joints are not cleaned up yet, but will be tomorrow hopefully. Then I will just get rid of any sharp edges. I will not paint it until I know it is a good design, because i dont want to have to remove paint to fix a weld (just incase).I was able to get the battery in without removing the cage, thats a good sign.Let me know what you think.BTW, it weighs 3.5 ounces as of now.I'm 21 and learningAvid 4wd enthusiastASE Master tech (Automotive), mechanic/fabricator by trade
Reply:Red... now your posts on the other thread make sense to me....I could not figure out why you were welding "rod" together!!!Thats a pretty cool... little RC 10?

Reply:Wood, no its not a mini RC 10. This is a 4wd vehicle on its own, there are some slight variations. RC18T (truck, smaller wheels), RC18B (buggy), rc18r (rally). They all use the same chassis, just different wheels, bodies, some arms, and gearing. Little things.Cheese, yes I am on rcu. Redhatman is my name.Jam, yup, I hope it helps! I am not going to paint it yet because I have to grind first, and I want to make sure it withstands constant abuse. Thanks for all input.I'm 21 and learningAvid 4wd enthusiastASE Master tech (Automotive), mechanic/fabricator by trade
