well I kinda cheated and scavanged a old RV trailer frame but I have alot of modifications to do to it so stay tuned going to give the good old air compressor a workout sandblasting the frame.The frame after getting the old body offlets make a stop @ Metal Management and pick up some steel $50 later we are ready to get to worknot alot of "good" crossmembers so lets add a few so it can haul the full 6k without a problem. time for a dr pepper break more to follow tomorrow when the work starts back up

Reply:Constructive suggestion: You may want to move the axles 2 or 3 feet forward to have most of the load on them , rather than mostly on the trailer tongue.

Reply:I used the same type of trailer for mine a couple of years ago. Its from an old camper, 6" tubler frame. Picked the frame up for $105.00 at an auction. The axles were already centered and beefed up on the frame. I've decided to ad pockets so I can put removeable sides on. I'll be able to use it to haul firewood. It's an 18' trailer.jcooper

Reply:lol, ya know what that trailer frame is still sitting as it was in those pics, I went ahead and built a 18' car trailer.... as far as the welder goes it was a 135 amp Lincoln with .030 fluxcore welding 1/8" to 1/8" supports. I am planning on finishing that trailer in the next two weeks so that I can use it to haul a bunch of crap to an auction. I will post some progress pics
