who knows about flame spraying ?

I have an eutectic flame sprayer with three torch heads (two are water cooled) and about a hundred pounds of different spray powders.Been sitting under a bench for twenty years waiting to meet someone that knows how to use the thing.Anyone have experience and willing to share?About all I know is to hook up the a\o tanks,stand behind something big and heavy,and pull the trigger.tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin

Reply:Create a puddle and spray the powder needed into the molten metal.. JGSMAW,GMAW,FCAW,GTAW,SAW,PAC/PAW/OFCand Shielding Gases.  There all here. :

Reply:I have a EUTALLOY torch and a Cast Welding Tech torch (flame spray hot). I use them to weld mostly engine castings, some shaft build up, very little hard facing. I never saw a water cooled flame spray yet, was thinking of building one. Have any pics?If you want to spray iron or steel I may be able to help. What is it that you need to know?Peter

How fast?What kind of flame?I have never seen it done or even met anyone that knows about it.I am pretty good at destroying metal ,not so good at putting it back together.tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin

Reply:Not too much gold or silver any more,the tree huggers frown upon it. Municipal tunnels in the cities. Free way tunnels,utility tunnels. It seems that taxpayer money NEVER runs out!tractor,loader.dozer,backhoe,and all the tools to keep em movin
