Hey yall...Well, i diddnt want to hijack someones thread, but it got me wondering... Whats the coolest job youve ever had welding?? And what made it that way?? Was it the pay, what you were working on was just plain awesome, cute farmers daughter, or what??
Reply:80% of what I do is pretty cool. But I do my own thing, so that makes it easier.200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.

Reply:I've got to do some very interesting work on DoD and DoE work... can't talk much about it, other than to say you never know what they are doing on the cutting edge defense work unless you actually get to help do it.Even then they only ever show you your tiny bit, still really interesting and all secretiveWelding EngineerCertified Scrap Producer
Reply:Working as a DOD contractor with the injured soldiers returning from the war zones. Me & my partner were able to help 55 soldiers with approximately $250,000.00 of benefits. Of course this doesn't count any TSGLI forms we filed. We were able to assist with medal awards with 7 soldiers & assisted 3 to remain in the service and several others with the MEP process.Wish they would have kept the office open rather than fold it into a military program. We were the final safety net for the soldiers & their families. Now they have none.MarkI haven't always been a nurse........Craftsman 12"x36" LatheEnco G-30B MillHobart Handler 175Lincoln WeldandPower 225 AC/DC G-7 CV/CCAdd a Foot Pedal to a Harbor Freight Chicago Electric 165A DC TIG PapaLion's Gate Build |
