I just "inherited" a solid steel (not one of those cheapo galvanized ones) boat trailer. The boat that came with it was a 16' Javelin fish and ski with 110HP engine. I am thinking about converting it into a utility trailer. Problem is, I can't find any ratings on the axle. Any educated guesses out there? Thanks!

Reply:If you can tell us the size of the bearings in the hub then I can probably tell you. My guess off the top of my head would be a 3500 lb axle if it is a single axle trailer. ~JacksonI'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:It is a single-axle trailer. I will have to get the measurements this weekend. |
