I have a miller 250 dial arc and just want to know if my settings are where there supposed to be for downhill schd 40 4" pipe root 6010 1/8 65amps hot pass 7010 1/8 75 amps cap 7010 1/8 75 amps
Reply:is that hot and cap 7018? at 75 amps 1/8 rod???thats too cold..even seems low for 1/8 6010.
Reply:el_cool_unoYour settings should be based on how you feel with the equipment your using. You need to be able to determine if your too hot or cold on your root and thus getting too much penitration or not enough etc...That being said, I run 3/32 6010 at 60-65 amps. 1/8 6010 at 65 amps would be too cold, for me. 80-85 amps for 1/8 6010 works for me, same settings I use for 3/32 7018.JasonLincoln Idealarc 250 stick/tigThermal Dynamics Cutmaster 52Miller Bobcat 250Torchmate CNC tableThermal Arc Hefty 2Ironworkers Local 720 |
