Reply:Interesting. You might want to add candles and a cd player to help set the mood for after the races.
Reply:That design looks great and nice welds too.Looking at the strength of all that triangulated tube, where's the motor?

Reply:A bed race is an event created to make otherwise normal ppl look like a bunch of idiots racing a bed around the town square pushing a bed around with somebody riding in the bed wearing appropriate bedwear and protective headgear and there is a stop in the middle of the race where the participants are made to perform some ridiculous agility maneuvers involving eggs and spoons or twirling around a baseball bat on your forehead. That is the basic description of a bedrace.
Reply:Wear a mask.. ...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Southern Tech (now Southern Polytechnic Institute) used to do bathtub races...Big cast iron bathtubs with small block chevy motors. My bro-in-law said when he went there, the races were pretthy serious...and scarey occasionally. I think someone got hurt/killed and they stopped it...but imagine a clawfoot bathtub running 70 mph in a 35 mph speed zone.Oh,and again you do very nice work, Weldrwomn...very nice.Smithboy...if it ain't broke, you ain't tryin'.
Reply:Hey great design and build welderwoman. That one should be around for quite a few races.

Reply:Sandy, the informal theme is kind of a margaritaville thing, so I'm sure that there will be a few alcohol powered beds there
