Hi All,Yep, I'm, a total newbie, so this'll be the easiest question in the history of questions.I picked this up at a garage sale, of all places! It looks practically new, but I don't know how the fittings work.I may be using it in slow-release fashion for my small greenhouse, but my wife (yes!) wants to learn welding. So, we're gonna fight over who gets to use it.Anyway, I think I understand the two round dials on the tank . . . but the flow rate thingy (in the bottom pic) is a mystery to me. How does it attach to the rest of the unit? The fittings don't seem right -- they're missing something, but I don't know what. So, I guess I'll wait for the experts to tell my wife what she'll need for the welding use. And, if someone knows how to set it up for slow release using the flow measurer, I'd love to know how that attaches to it.TIA!~jessie Attached Images
Reply:The Flow thingy doesn't connect to the other thingy The Item in the first Photo should control FLOW rate- It has 2 Gauges on it :One Gauge is for the tank volume and the other gauge is to control the flow of that Volume of gas out of the tank. Not sure but it also looks like it splits the CO2 after it comes out of the Tank to A & B Valves. The 2nd Pic is a Flow Meter regulator and has a CGA580 connection on it for C25, Argon, Heliumhttp://store.cyberweld.com/smflreh2.htmlJust buy the Mrs. a tank of C25 (mix of CO2 and Argon) fer her welding and keep the marriage happy.Last edited by Broccoli1; 06-05-2010 at 06:26 PM.Ed Conleyhttp://www.screamingbroccoli.com/MM252MM211 (Sold)Passport Plus & Spool gunLincoln SP135 Plus- (Gone to a good home)Klutch 120v Plasma cutterSO 2020 benderBeer in the fridge |
