i HAVE A 1018 OLD SHELL PLATE AND WELDING A36 TO IT. i AM GETTING BALLS OF A TAR LIKE MATTER IN THE ROOT. i AM GETTING SOME ARC BLOW. I HAVE HAD THE STEEL TESTED FOR CONTAMINATES AND NOTHING SHOWS UP....IF I KNEW HOW TO PUT THE PICTURE UP ON HERE I WOULD...ANY IDEAS

Reply:Got it figured out....nothing like magnatism....the tar is flux and the rest is slack caused from arc blow.....
