i know its been a while but i was waiting on the cnc bracketry and i was working after work and on the weekends here they are over 80 hrs every rail was caped turned on the lathe blended in what a pain in the *** but worth it they are awsome

Reply:there are three millers two 250's one 300 and a lincoln 250 im usually on the miller 250 for chromolly and use the 300 for aluminium only

Reply:ZAP victor is doing good we made it to the finals in kansas so that was pleasing but we're still a bit ways behind greg he is kicking ***. everyone else is still the same we lost tommy lee he had left us i still see him all the time I was just at his house last weekend for a barbecuethe cnc bracketry Im refering to all the upright posts there were all cut using a three axis cnc I would have been there all week making them by handthe ones on an angle have angle holes bored through them
Reply:I didn't use a three axis cnc for my uprights and it did take me quite a while to layout, drill and then redrill at an angle.  They turned out okay, but I had to do quite a few of them for this job. There were a few variances but most customers won't pull out a tape to see if the rails are dead on.  I think that next time I'll hitup the machine shop next door for pieces like those.   Nice looking rail you have there, I've never thought of using aluminum in that style before.  Were there any concerns about the landing top rail to stairs as being a pinch point?-MikeCommon sense in an uncommon degree is what the world calls wisdom.

Reply:Very nice work! I wish I had more aluminum jobs come in than i do. I always enjoyed Tig welding Aluminum more so than most other things.I'm a Lover, Fighter, Wild horse Rider, and a pretty good welding man......
Reply:yes all the welding was tig. the person that the stair are for is very anal there for alot of time and swet was put into this project. It was a buddy he was paying me by the hour and it was cheaper to get the brackets cnc because we have an in house cnc.

Reply:Ill tell him zap so your a ford guy theres nothing wrong with that I have no preference if you look in the background in one of those pics there is an ihra car. but cant say whose it is. 800 ci mountain motor god there big blocks from head cover end to head cover end they measure 3 ft exactly they barelyfit between the frame rails for everybodys info I have no preference on welders I weld with them all they all work the same.
Reply:Those stairs are cool!!! I showed it to a customer who does not like his wood deck railings. He said" SWAP 'EM for THAT!!!"And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
