Reply:Anything you can have over your head is good for me. I started out with a small shop as well. About 12 years ago or so I was working out in a driveway. You're doing it the smart way - work and make some money, expand, work more and expand. Too many people get in over their heads when they first get into business. Reply:I wish had exactly what you have in these pics. We have to start somewhere, when you are on the "bottom" only place to go is up in my opinion.  Congratulations.
Reply:I am a fair weather mechanic, and welder because I have no garage at the moment. But I couldn't pass up the price I bought the house for I'll build a garage later. Will   Supports Autism Awareness                            My ToysBobCat 225 PLusMillermatic 130Miller Spectrum 300 CutmateEverlast Power Tig 185 Micro April is Autism Month .

Reply:That's a nice shop Paintman.  I envy your property because at least you have the real estate to build what you want.  I live in the city and I'm landlocked.  I have to work out of my garage door on the little patio area. The Pit BBQ is very cool with lots of nice, custom details and lines  No wonder you can get that kind of money for them.Hobart 140 Handler w/ gasHyperTherm Powermax 380 Plasmaoxy/acetylene

Reply:i cirtenly can complain about that shop, i built my own shop also, this is the bigger one of the 2 in progress.:d Attached Images summer is here, plant a tree for mother earth. if you dont have time or space, sponcer some one else to plant one for you.feel free to shoot me a PM or e-mail me at [email][email protected] i got lots of time.
Reply:here is a so called finished version. still no real power to speak of in it, just lights and still a dirt floor. your's is a palace compared to mine. the lil green thing behind it is where most of my shop work gets done, its got a floor but its plywood. so far no fires from welding.. the lil green shop has got 220V so i can run my TIG welder and air compressor but i'm hopeing to get a new power line run a bit bigger wire and a cement floor would also be nice. but for now i'm working on conecting the 2 shops so i dont have to go out in the rain to go from one shop to the other. Reply:Women will never understand us .. I have 2 shops.. My x-wife used to bring my dinner out to the shop and eat with me in a couple of lawn chairs.. Even if i don't really have any projects going in my shop it is like i need to at least spend a few minutes out in the shop  every day or seems like something is missing.. I have a tool collection that a lot of people would drool over.. I am about to semi-retire and all i think of is being able to spend my days out in the shop doing things.. I am a die-hard hot rodder and can always find something to keep me busy.. I can't understand people that say they don't want to retire cause they wouldn't have anything to do.. I live on 8 acres of land and i have thot many times of how i would like to relocate to south Padre Island but i can't even imagine what it would be like to give up my shops much less know that someone else was using them... Like letting someone else have your x-girlfriend... Do I sound sick ?    Terry
