Here it is tacked back together with a new deck plate. Just a side view. A close up of the weld on the axle tube stiffener. Settings were 27 Amps, I forget the wire speed. 115 bare wire and 98/2 gas.finished product with the cable reel mounting plates in place(the two upright plates with the cross bars) and the holes cut out in the floor.Everything 1/2" thick or better gets 1/2" fillet welds. Overkill I know, but that is what the customer requires. I have never understood the overkill these guys apply to htese machines. They do take quite a beating, but in my opinion over welding is almost as bad as underwelding. Does anyone else have an opinion about this? The MILLER in the backgroung of the last picture is not the machine I use. I have the only Lincoln in the shop. It's a Miller Killer.
Reply:Lookiin good. I like it I am an overkill guy myself. it aint a curse man its a blessing!
