Will this generator power a Lincoln 180, or a Miller 180, and possibly even a Miller 211 running 230V? Found one for sale on Craigs List this morning for $500 with only a 100 hours on it. Add states he is moving this weekend and doesn't have room to take it.http://www.sycamorepro.com/egs-7/Millermatic 251Spectrum 300 PlasmaEverlast PowerTig 250EXEverlast PowerCool W300Harris / Victor OACraftsman 13 Speed Drill PressProTools Air/Hydraulic Bender48" BrakeCompressor, Notchers, Grinders, etc.
Reply:That generator is rated at 6000W continuous which gives you about 25 amps at 240V.The MM180 requires only 21.7 amps at 230V so it should run from the generator easily. The MM211 requires 25 amps at 240V so even running at full power you would only be just pushing the generator's continuous rating.Personally, I think a working 600W generator for $500 is a great deal in general.Visit Tensaiteki.com

Reply:Originally Posted by RugarCan you explain to me how its rating says "Total Avail. Amperage 60A"? If 6000W gives you 25 amps @ 240V. The only thing I understand about electricity is how to plug something in and hit the power button.
