Scored some K Series tanks.

I got 2 K Series tanks for $200. My LWS wants $220 each for a tank.I need a Argon for aluminum and Oxy for an oxy propane setup.Anything i should look out for when i go to pick them up?

Reply:Can you get them filled? Many places consider cyl that size lease or rental only. If you don't have an account and it's not one of their cylinders, then you bought an expensive door stop. My place won't take "customer owned" cyl that size. neither will almost any other LWS near me. All the independents that would are long gone. If you find a "K" size here theres a good chance it's a rental that never got turned in. If you don't have an account the supplier will take their cyl back ( it's legaly theirs anyways) and you'd be stuck with nothing for your troubles..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Update LWS said they could fill some but not others needed the name off the Neck.Call the Guy. he called Linde and they said they couldnt swap one but not the other.So he told me he had 2 of the M series tanks. 4.5 feet x 8 inch diameter. Got them for $50.
