I have a older Syncrowave 250... Do they make a pulse controller for these welders.....I use a Dynasty 200 at work and like the pulse feature on the thin stuff..
Reply:Don't know if Miller had a pulse as an add on option for that welded. Unfortunately is seems no one is making a generic add on pulser. If you keep your eyes you could find a Miller PC300, or a Miller Intellitig controller, or there were ESAB, Thermal Arc, and OTC pulse controllers that I know off that could probably be adapted through the remote connector on your welded. I had an ESAB pulser connected to my Thermal arc power supply, but then found an ESAB 300 SVI power supply that it was originally made to work with.

Reply:jmink,Since you didn't state how old your "older Sync" was, it's hard to tell what's available. If it's one of the older analog units, you're pretty much limited to the afore mentioned units.Be aware though that these units will not come close to comparing to the range of pulsing that you're used to on the Dynasty 200. These units (Miller and other) generally allow for a PPS (pulse per sec) rate of about .1 to 10 PPS. The Dynasty goes from .1-500 PPS.In other words, the hi speed pulsing you may be using on the Dynasty for say thin SS will not be available with the pulser for the Sync 250.Syncro 250 DX Dynasty 200 DXMM 251 w/30A SG XMT 304 w/714 Feeder & Optima PulserHH187Dialarc 250 AC/DCHypertherm PM 1250Smith, Harris, Victor O/ASmith and Thermco Gas MixersAccess to a full fab shop with CNC Plasma, Water Jet, etc. |
