Here is a pic of another farewell gift I made on the Plasma Cam for an Air Force Technical Seargent. Its her initials, with her rank in the middle. Let me know if this design is a good one. If so I will start offering them along with the branding irons.Miller Syncrowave 200Hobart Handler 140Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38E-Z Tube BenderPlasma Cam DHC2

Reply:Cool, glad you guys like it. Brass would be nice, but maybe too expensive. The military folks arent really rolling in the money. I make this stuff and only charge them half of what I charge the public. Being that I am active duty, I know how tough it is to get these guys something nice on the budget that they have to work with.Miller Syncrowave 200Hobart Handler 140Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38E-Z Tube BenderPlasma Cam DHC2

Reply:On a related note how do you like the Plasmacam? And what is the price?  I was looking at the Torch Mate but have heard good thing about each.Me!
Reply:Awesome work!David Real world weldin.  When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:Thanks for the feedabck guys, glad you all like it. Me!, to answer your question, I love the plasma cam. I just started a business basically around the plasma cam, and there is no shortage of work for sure. There is a learning curve like anything else, but practice makes perfect. I wont say anything bad about the torchmate, as I have never used one, but speaking generally about CNC, it is a nice to have. Just to give you an example, I started making a strut tower bar today for my 1994 celica. The brackets that bolt to the strut towers I was able to design in about 15 minutes, and cut them out in about 2. They are perfectly symetrical, and I can cut out as many as I want. Once this strut bar is done, I will have made jigs for every cut and angle of tube, and a weldling jig. I have already shopped them on a toyota forum, and guys are asking for them. I guess what I am trying to say is, it makes prototyping parts like these a snap, and the repeatable results of the CNC add to the whole professional look.Miller Syncrowave 200Hobart Handler 140Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38E-Z Tube BenderPlasma Cam DHC2

Reply:Awesome piece.Did you use Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 38 to cut on your plasma cam. Would you recommend it again. I'm looking at the Miller Spectrum 625 and would love to get a plasma cam as a way to generate $$$. I just dont want to get a plasma cutter that wont work for the future. I always try to look 4 or 5 years into the future and buy equipment that supports growth. Appreciate any ideas.
Reply:Qucifer what is a plasma cam and how much are they. Why do you put two cents in when its only a penny for your thoughts? Miller Thunderbolt AC/DC Millermatic 150
