Pics are from my camera phone but give you an idea. The first is a pic of a stainless steel tig weld(kind of blurry). The other two are just an example of some of the kinds of things that I make at work. This particular one started out with a 1/4 blank in the center cut into that shape. I then had to use 2 pieces of 1/8" two make up the side thickness and form the shape around. Those were built by hand just forming the pieces around as I went along. Then welded the seem of the 2 1/8" pieces and ground the whole thing smooth. That was just one of them, I had to make 4 of them in total that all had to match one another. Attached Images

Reply:Yeah camera phone suck! The first piece was a caster plate for a tubing fixture for Kohls department stores. And the second and third pick were also for Kohls and was a base for another store fixture. Those were all TIG welded, is that what you meant by what process?

Reply:Center template was laser cut out of 1/4", the 1/8" pieces I sheared up long and then formed them around by hand and then just cut of the excess and welded the seem up.
