I wrote this up for a guy on another message board, and a third guy wanted to put it up on his site.If you catch anything wrong in it, let me know. Keep in mind that this is written for beginners.

I added a bridge rectifier for DC and a scr voltage control on the 220 input so I could use a foot pedal. I knew about the possible problem with AC on the transformer but have not seen any heating problem. I have done a lot of aluminum with it.
