Can anyony help with this hobart I got this weekend for free. I thought it was a great price it is a tig and stick welder. The problem is it is set up for 460 how do I set it up for 220? and I think it is single phase how do I find this info out...SPEC # 5883aSN # 87WS15591ThanksDaniel

Reply:I have the same welder. If you take off the top, there is a bus with copper jumpers. The lugs are labeled 200V, 240V and 480V I think. Take it off and look. If you can't figure it out, give me an email. [email protected] welder. I have about a thousand bucks in mine and it does everything. It welds 7018 rod like nothing and TIGs' beer cans.
