Hey yall!! Well, im finally working on my first real project, building a grill out of a 60 gallon air compressor tank, and the frame of an old tractor. Its going really well, and im almost done, all i need to do is get a really big fire in it and let it burn so the decades of oil residue inside the tank dont end up in someones steak... But ive never built a grill before, and i dont really know what size, and where, i should put air holes in it.. Right now the only ventilation comes from the spaces in end ends where the drain and intake holes were (about 4" circles) and the 3/16" or so kerf from where i cut it with my torch. And im assuming that i should cover that gap with some flat stock, or something, right? So, how would you get air into this thing, if you were building it??
