I have all my welders on trucks or big trailers. I recently bought another miller bobcat that is on a tag a long now. I have never liked running them on the things because they get beat and banged all around the entire time they are on the move. QUESTION IS: will this hurt/kill the machine at all? I see them on the move like this everyday. I have run out of trucks with room as of now. What are your thoughts about it being on the little (tag a long trailer) Here is the set up in question: Thanks.PS: Used almost daily. Attached ImagesYou have to learn the rules of the game. Reply:Thats all we have at work is the tag along trailers with machines on them. I think the one tag along trailer is on its 3rd welder and many sets of tires and acouple of axles. Can't be to hard on it tons of machines on them every rental yard has them on one. I don't see how it would be any differnet then being bolted on any other trailer. As long at as the tag along has springs so it won't bounce the machine alot. I have had a couple of tag along trailers but have gotten more towards having all my stuff in one spot thats why I went with a small enclosed all the tools and everything protected.Vantage 300 kubota ,miller 304 xmt ,lincoln ln 25 pro , ranger 305 G, plenty of other tools of the trade to make the sparks fly.
Reply:Yea, I thought I was done with the tag a long phase, that is untill this little gem showed up. I pretty much figured its fine, every place around here has them on the little trailer, The pot holes around here are BAD, and it bouces the hell out of them. Everything else is in a truck or (tandem) trailer, they just seem to ride smoother. Thanks. You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. Albert Einstein

Reply:Most definitely need to install a set of fenders, perhaps a small wrap around box across the front to keep trash and mud from coming up unde the cover, just a little protection, spare tire.
Reply:They make shocks for trailers. It should help with bounce. I am thinking about putting them on my camping trailer. |
