HelloI have to put a 30 degree bend in 5/16 x 3'' 316L flat bar and need to compromise the strength the very least possible. It is bending nicely cold in my press, Im wondering If i should be heating it or not.ThanksJoe Crecca

Reply:The bending will increase the strength and reduce ductility due to work hardening but the effect should be minimal or negligable with a single 30 deg bend.
