Reply:Very nice!We had a little "discussion" here about fusing stainless a few months ago..Nice to see someone else does it also.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:Tonight I had a water tank on a dish machine with a split seam. I welded the outside corner (laying on my back on the floor working the pedal with my knee) and fused most of it. I only added filler if things were getting out of hand. Thin stainless. No leaks when we tested it.Your work looks a whole lot better than mine! Nice job.DavidReal world weldin. When I grow up I want to be a tig weldor.

Reply:yea what welds very nice ChuckASME Pressure Vessel welder
Reply:Hard to see the outside, it is so smooth. How is the inside, that's the important thing for sanitary welds. How did you purge it? Did you pulse current?
Reply:the inside is just as clean as the outside. i purged the 1 1/2 pipe with 15psi of argon and let it go for about 5 min with each end taped up and a hole in top.

Reply:Looks like you welded one of them pretty hot. I'd imagine you got fusion all the way into to the root of the though. Fusion of stainless is done in probably 95% of all food service and pharmaceutical piping.
Reply:Sanitary process piping welds, something I hope to accomplish someday (though I'm talking waaay down the road).Checked your profile and other post's W55 and didn't see much info. How long have you been welding? How'd you learn? Are you certified? It's apparent you know what you're doing. How about some background, thanks.Miller MaxStar 150 STHTIG Advice From Co-Worker - "Just don't burn a hole so big I can't fill it."
