Hello everyone,Well, I've had an enjoyable 24 hours to play with my new TA 185 and already I have questions. Basically, I am trying to weld together small constructions of .125 round stock - usually in a "T" (or "X") configuration with one rod lying on top of another at approx. 90 degrees. If anyone has experience with this machine and could recommend a setup, that'd be great.I'm mainly wondering, though, what advantage the pulse setting has. This is my first TIG (I've been MIG'ing up until now). I am also curious about how to do a decent fillet when the electrode is barely protruding from the cup.Your help is REALLY appreciated.Hobart BetaMig 1800Esab Handy Plasma 550TA Pro-Wave 185 TSW

Reply:As far as setup goes I can't help you there. On the fillet, pull the tungsten out of the cup a bit so it sticks out more. Simple as that. |
