Old Hobart Wire Feeder

I have an old Hobart wire feeder with the model number AGH-27. I think I'm missing a few parts off of it but I'm not real sure. What I need to know is how many "bullets"(I think they are called wire guides) does it get? It looks as if it gets one before the rollers and one in between the rollers but I really have no clue and I think this is the only part I need. Actually I have 4 of the wire feeders and none of them have these. Another question, my dad built the power supply that we plan on using and a friend of his said we would need some kind of droop something, any idea what he's talking about? He said it would help with the voltage drop when you first strike an arc. Is this sort of like a "hot start" thing?
Reply:We have an old 27 in our shop I took some pics of the unit but the one I wanted didn't come out becasue the battery went dead.  There is a brass tube between the rolls .  We also have had tubes at the entrance and exit missing.  A chunk of old gun lead liner will substitute.  I wiill try to post some pictures
Reply:Thanks, I figured it was suppose to have a guide coming into the rollers but I wasnt sure. It does have part of an old liner in between the rollers, must have been a common thing to do. The adapter I have coming out of the rollers for the lead has a small guide that slides up in it and is held in with a set screw. The holders for the other two guides are tapered which makes sense because there is no set screw for them to be held in place so what I'm gonna do is drill and tap for set screws in the other holders and take another one of those guides for the lead side and cut it to fit and taper the ends and I should be good to go, hopefully. Is this a good feeder? I've never used one. All we have at work are Lincolns.

Reply:ok I figured out that I had to reduce size in order to post.  this unit is similar to your 27 but upside down.  ( first one I have seen )  On our old 27 it has a similar layout but the infeed area is just a collar set in a little piece of flat bar bent in a "L"
