Well I was moving my welder and ofcourse I dropped it but I ended up catching it and it only smashed the front a little bit but the the  whole connector on the gun ripped out and the 2 pins were all bent.I just bought the welder 2 weeks ago too.Do I need a new gun?its a Lincoln pro mig 180 and it has the magnum 100l gunThere looks like no other damage
Reply:Did it pull the 2 prong contactor connector from the front of the machine itself or just trash the one on the MIG torch (gun)?Miller XMT-3502 Lincoln Power Mig 140C (One w/ dedicated spoolgun)Jackson NexGen / Miller Digital EliteMiller S32P SuperWeldcraft 17fv & 9fv Tig TorchVictor & Purox O/ALincoln Ranger 9Fairly Cold Beer!!

Reply:Here is a full parts list for your gun Parts ListIf I remember right, there is a set screw with a plastic nob on it that holds the gun whip into the case. That can be replaced, may need to tap the hole if the threads are damaged. The gun itself had small parts but should be fine. Hard to tell with out a picture.I didnt know the larger magnum guns would fit the small welders?
Reply:If your talking about the wired connection (which i think you are) you may need to replace the female harness and/or male. There should be parts available.Does it look like part 8 on the second page of that document?Similar to this... Mig GunLast edited by oxygen454; 12-28-2010 at 07:53 PM.

Reply:doh ...Not to make light of your screwup, but is there irony that you were using it during the build of a proper cart (vs sitting on a roller trash can)?
Reply:So THAT'S why da connector on the welder has guards around it!Those are the trigger leads, and if it were mine I'd shove the pins into the correct holes and put a fat blob of RTV silicone over them to secure them until I got another connector. The welding machine itself appears fine.If you had access to an organ donor gun, you could just cut and splice the wires. All you need is another plug and some lead to splice to.I chop-and-splice those at work fairly often, as I'm converting our ESABs to Tweco and generic Radnor MIG guns so all our machines use the same generic consumables. You can order the connectors, or buy something such as an adapter kit that has the pigtail to splice them.Control wire cord S26388 in the literature should be what you need.Last edited by farmall; 12-29-2010 at 04:49 PM.

Reply:Well more damage then I actully thought not only did the connector break but I guess the threads on the female end did too ............Should I just take this to a shop to be fixed
Reply:yes, I would

Reply:Ok guys sorry for being so late on this but I got it fixed and it was so easy to fix. I took it to a good friend of mine, he works at a welding repair shop and he looked at it and said yea no big deal. The 1 part was like 8 dollars(The little module in the machine) and he gave me a new connector(The one with the bent prongs) he had lying around for free.He said he would put it in for me but he said you might as well save money and do it yourself . He briefed me on basically what I had to do and I just had to take the inside cover off and swap the parts so total cost was like 10 dollars if this happens to you don't s*** the bed like I did
