so I think instead of having 3 different threads of all my school work I would put them all together in one. I am taking welding classes at a JC and have been for 2.5 years and things have really clicked for me in the last year. here are some pics of my mig from tonight, I will be taking my AWS cert test in a week or two. Oh and this are verticle up open back, 3/8s plate, 3/32"s land with 3/32 root gap at the bottom and 1/8 up top. Attached ImagesLast edited by violatedppl; 04-03-2008 at 03:19 AM.
Reply:not to sure how strict your inspector is, but keep those cap passes 1/8" or less above the base metal.cant tell you how many certs i have failed from having one spot on one cap pass be 1/16" highlooks good, keep it up
Reply:I can still remember when they told me you can't run an open root with a mig. I guess they thought I had been using 6010 for those, lol. Looking good. The difference between art and craft is the quality of the workmanship. I am an artist. |
