What are your opinions on the Power mig 350 MP?

Howdy Everyone!!!   I actually posted a descriptive questionaire under the Lincoln forum, but for the sake of getting more responses, I am posting a short version here...    What are your impressions of the Lincoln Power Mig 350 MP?  What are the weld output qualities like?  How well does it behave in the other processes it supposedly handles?  How well would you think this machine would be as a "do most" mig machine?  I would like to get a precision tig 275 to complete a full welding complement in my shop to be.  I am a severe weekend warrior welder.  For more info, please se my Lincoln forum post!  Any and all thoughts would be greatly apreaciated!!  Brian Lee  Sparkeee24
Reply:I used one of these machines on a job I worked at.  My personal experience was not that impresssive, but on the other hand it wasnt a bad machine.  It has some really awesome features, like one for mig and flux where it actually sets your machine, you just dial in the heat and it kinda keeps the wire and voltage together.  Otherwise I found it worked well, but I just thought for the money wasnt that great.  I just ran it under normal controls and set my own wire and voltage.  We never got the tig torch or the stinger set up.  I did however use flux, metal core and solid wire with this machine.  I personally found this machinet o work fine but as I said the added features never really helped me.  It should run tig so no need for tig unless I geuss your wanting to do some more critical stuff, not sure.  Well good luckCHRIS
Reply:Search for opinions about the Lincoln Power Mig 300, as they are virtually the same machine, and the PM300 has been out for 4 years, with a much broader user base.Respectfully,Charles Brown
