A few months back I bought a plasma cutter made in Mexico at a yard sale for the torch it had a 20' Ice27c on it. I needed it for a miller 375. Reply:What you are seeing is somebody chose the componets that gave them the biggest bang for the buck, or was it the Peso?  We should be proud that the manusfacturer chose USA componets over Chinese.  If you are at all concerned about the state of the economy, applaud anyone who buys our exports.  The fact that the componets were made here means an American had a job making them.  It would have been nice to have sold and shipped a whole Plasma Cutter to Mexico, but selling the Mexicans the good American parts to buid a Plasma Cutter has to be a close second.
