How did he make this joint?

Attached is a pic of two tubes welded at 90 degrees.Any idea how he got any strength to the joint? I don't think either tube had any metal removed for fitting. - Mike Attached Images
Reply:Waht kind of application? maybee the tube itself is the load bering part, and any weld is just there to keep it from moving around?  besides somhing like that, I might think an internal brace slid in.  Don't know.  but, not an expert.  Brain lee Sparkeee24

Reply:It looks like what he did was weld the inside of the tube and left enough to slide over the other tube and welded the outside of that. At least thats the only way I would know how to do it.
