Howdy Everyone!! My new Invertec V-350 advanced process is here and it's awesome!!! the only problem is, I have these tweco twist connectors, and the machine has what looks like gas seals in it, and smaller posts would fit in it, and on the post looks like theres supposed to be a nub. Some help would be nice folks! do I get an adapter? Or just use my tweco twist connectors for cords later, and find these connectors somewhere? The whol gas thing is new to me, since this machine doesn't feed wire through it. It will tig weld, so I figure it's for feeding gas to the tig torch, but those lines are all seperate on my tig torch too. If you folks know what pieces I should get to make my setup work, that would be great! ( the down falls of buying used equipment I guess ) Brian Lee Sparkeee24 I have been flipping through all the programs too, man this thing has alot of variables! SWEET!
Reply:Sparkee, That fitting is a "Dinse" style fitting its a different fitting than the tweco style, and yes the gas is run thru the center of the fitting for tig and most I have seen use a one piece tig cable/hose. that hooks to the torch, and to the connector. There is also another plug that is used to stick weld. it does not have the gas hole so when it is inserted it seals the hole.
