Has anyone used one of these? I purchased one of their plasma cutters and have been very pleased with it. I will say, when I opened the box and saw how small it was, I thought I made a mistake. But the thing works great. I use it for my car projects, and wish to do the same with the TIG. It has AC frequency control and a pulser.. To get that with a Miller, in 200amps, you have to spend three grand. Earl
Reply:I have one and love it. It definitely can outperform my experience in tig welding. I used it for some 6011 stick welding too, it runs those rods beautifully. I too was considering going the Miller route but couldn't justify spending that much for one. Not trying to pick a fight with anyone but we have our nay-sayers on this board who will try to talk you out of one because if it happens to malfunction you have to ship it for repairs. According to Jeff, the president of the company, most of time malfunctions can be diagnosed over the phone with anyone who knows their way around a multimeter and parts swapped out without having to ship it anywhere. I also have their Micro Cut 300 plasma cutter as well.TiggerAaronHTP Invertig 201w/ CK-20 torch and Bernard ChillerHTP MicroCut 300 plasma cutterLincoln R3S-325 w/ TA 17A Wire FeederVictor Super Range II O/A kitClausing/Colchester 13X40 LatheBridgeport 9X42 Mill
Reply:Thank you very much for your reply. I do understand everyones concern for buying locally, but my experance with this company has been like yours, it was great. I was having a issue with my plasma, called them, they walked me through it in no time. By the way, it was me, not the plasma cutter. |
