I'm looking at a used ALT 304, it has around 2000 hrs on the unit, and it comes with a S-74D Feeder. The pkg price is $2,500. Was wondering your thoughts on unit hrs and price. I have mostly been reading good things about the ALT but then started reading about electrical issues. How good are they in terms of service life? This was bought as a secondary unit for a guys welding shop, retired and kept the ALT and Feeder for hobby, but hasn't used it since. The feeder has about 500hrs on it. Pkg has power source, feeder, gun, and cart. No regulator or tank. Thanks for the Help
Reply:It's a base model with digital meters. He don't sound like he won't to come down. Will see what I can do. Thanks for the help!
Reply:Its a private deal, going to take a look at it tomorrow, it's a hundred mile drive. I'm wanting to get in to fabrication and have been watching for a nice used MM 251 or 252 but there just isn't any thing for reasonable value. I had been thinking I'd have to get a new MM 252 when I found this setup. It would give me Mig, stick, and tig which I would like to get into maybe. My max steel thickness would be 1/2".Thank you for your help! |
