I am going to try my hand at tube welding. I want to start practicing, so I was wondering, if I am using a steel tube at 1 - 1/8" OD and a .120" wall thickness, what size filler rod should I use? Thanks for the help!
Reply:3/32 size weld it like you own it
Reply:you will find that the diameter of the filler can be used to control the puddle.... 3/32 filler will cool the puddle a lot more than 1/16, use it as you need it.... |
