Well after seeing other tables and questions recently I decided to take some pictures of my most recent table. 1/2" thick 4'x8' top, 2" square tubing. Expanded metal sub shelf. 5'x3' pull-out cutting table. 3'x2' pull-out table for for holding my chop saw and having the full 8' of the table to support the metal I am cutting. 4- pneumatic tires for moving it in the shop and outside. A removable toung for moving it with my electric cart (it weighs over 1000 lbs) and best of all 4- 5000lb trailer jacks for lifting the table 15" to make the table at the best height for my back. I also changed the handles on the jack to bolts so I can take my impact wrench to adjust the height without a sweat. I am not done with it yet, but overall I am happy with the way it turned out. Reply:I love the pull outs.  The chop saw is a great idea since it keeps you from having a static place for the chop saw so long pieces can be supported and allows portability.  The pull out cutting section is also a great hideaway that keeps the table smooth and flat.  Awesome ideas.  I might build something similar with my little work table.  It's only about two and a half feet by three feet or so, but could still make a cutting pullout.  GREAT JOB!!!
Reply:Your in for a major disapointment when you see mine.. Nice work! You wanna build me one?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.

Reply:Nice bench h2oboy. The next feature I would most like to see is a self clearing device. Could you build one that tips on end every 72 hours or so?!?I especially like h2oboy's unique, impact wrench, height adjustment system. I have two benches that are height adjustable, I rarely adjust them because it's a pain to do so. If I would upgrade to h2oboy's air gun powered lift design, I probably would adjust the height often.I didn't build either of my adjustable benches. Be glad to share the design, if anyone can benefit. One uses two trailer jacks and a hand crank. The other has an electric motor and I'm not sure what sort of lift mechanism, need to look.Instead of four jacks, each end of the bench has one jack in the center. With two legs at each end of the bench that are telescoping tubes, these  two legs are bridged together, so that one jack lifts each end. Both jacks are connected together with a rod, so that one crank handle raises both jacks, and the entire bench. I'll have a good look at them and post some pics.Congrats h2oboy, I've never found the ambition and time to build a bench the way I would really like to have it.

Reply:Motor pool resto? As in just get it running? I need about 500 fewer projects to work on, then maybe I'ld have time and money for the war wagon! City of L.A. Reply:awsome job h2oboy, I wish I had enough room to devote to a table that size.  The slide outs are very nice and could be incorperated in my smaller table.  Thanks for sharing.Various GrindersVictor Journeyman torch200cf Acet. 250cf oxygenLincoln 175 plus/alpha2 gunLincoln v205t tigLincoln 350mpEsab 650 plasmaWhen you can get up in the morning, Its a good day.Live each day like its your last.
Reply:I think that table is amazing!! I hope one day I could be fabricate something as well as that table turned out. I had a question about the machine you used. I've been wanting to weld for some time, and projects like the one you made I'm VERY interested in. What machine did you use to weld all of that? Thank you for your response and I hope you ALL had a great Thanksgiving!- Jason
