just wondering , I have a old tig/stick welder that I don't use, can I hook up a wire feeder to it to run mig wire   thanks for any information you have

Reply:You can, but you need a feeder that is compatible with a CC (constant current) power source, most mig power sources are CV (Constant voltage).  I have been tolds the arcs are not as smooth or easy as a dedicated mig power source but have no personal experience with them.
