All I have to say is that I love my work because there are three hot chicks in my companies welding school with me!!

Reply:I find that, in the shop environment, any member of the fairer sex seems more attractive than they may in a different environment.  The same was true for engineering school as well.  I think it has something to do with the fact that there are so few of them.That being said, Bert is correct.  One must conduct oneself in a gentlemanly manner, especially in the presence of the ladies.
Reply:I take it this is a corporate job if the company has their own welding school? Be VERY careful, a lot of times when these women enter into a typically and overwhelmingly mans career field, they are either dikes with a chip on their shoulder or straight women just itching to file a sexual harassment suit. I agree with Fegenbush, these women probably wouldn't look half as good in any other environment....Pictures will be needed to make a judgment.
Reply:Northrup Grumman is the company and being from a town near a town that has a heavy population of alternative life styles I can tell you that none are dikes but as for the rest I don't know.  As far as pics go I have no desire to lose my job nor be in the wrong area with a trigger happy armed marine with an M16 and a high kill streak on counter strike.  Northrup Grumman facilities have a no camera policy.

Reply:Well Al, let's see, can she cook, don't talk to much, cut and split firewood, cook on a wood cook stove, and good at shoveling snow, then i think we have a deal, cause the only thing the moose are good at is not saying to much. Reply:The Swamp Donkeys (Nugent-ism) around my property/shop are getting quite used to me.200amp Air Liquide MIG, Hypertherm Plasma, Harris torches, Optrel helmet, Makita angle grinders, Pre-China Delta chop saw and belt sander, Miller leathers, shop made jigs etc, North- welders backpack.

Reply:I think some of you guys missed an opportunity here   Sure we dont have pictures but is Northrup Grunman Hiring?   I'll take the paycheck and a peek at those ladies.  I'd be willing to bet I can get at least one of them to cook for me before too long.  I'm the eternal optomist “I'm going to do the thing that God put Galen Beasley on this Earth to do:Have Salon quality hair and weld.Nothing like a good cup of coffee and the smell of 6010 burning in the morning. 971-204-3444 cell API ASME Structural NDT and Repair"Trade ya a 24 yo female maintenance supervisor for one of those moose."   That must a fine lookin moose.   Back when I was in the Army if you wanted to see some reasonable eye candy you normally had to start hunting around the RAAF of Navy bases.  Much of the time they came in the form of Officers.  Dont think most of the better looking chicks could handle the Army stuff.  Darn it I certainly chose the wrong service.  Now days I get the occasional customer who fits the bill, especially with the work shop being out of town.  I worry sometimes when I send my 73 year old fitter with a bad ticker out to a job if I know the customer is hot.    Got an upcoming job where the customer is exceptional.  Recon its gunna be a case of him regaining a function he thought he lost forever or a trip in the ambo!!!!!

Reply:Blue and Smokin, I'll go ya one better.  My best half not only cooks, she cooks southern and international as well as hunts and skins her own, welds ornamental iron for fun and runs the plaz table for yard art too,  She will do a timing belt on her own car with a little supervision and isnt scared of much.  She beat the livin crap out of an airman in the club, knocked his dum butt out for running his mouth and then complained about breaking a nail when she did it.  She cleans up and dresses out real nice and puts up with my stuff too.  That one aint fer sale or trade for any amount of money or tools and guns.  I have had her for nearly 20 years and dont see any wear and tear yet, and goodness know I have tried.  It sure makes getting new tools easy, just comment that X or Z would make it easier of faster and she is all about looking into what we gotta do to get it.  Best part is I am medically retired in a wheel chair and we keep on playin in the shop like it was a full time job.  And we still get along like we are dating and horny little kids.BobI'm spending my Kids inheritance, I dont like him that much anyway!!!!!!Enuff tools to do the job, enough sense to use em.Anybody got a spare set of kidneys?  Trade?
