My old Smith argon flowmeter and regulator (not sure of the model, looks like the newer H1950) just went in for repairs, and the repair estimate came out to $105.  I've been looking around and found that I could just buy a new one for less than that.  Any input on repair vs. buying a newer less expensive one? I was looking at the Smith H1952, or the H2051.  Any suggestions on other new ones?
Reply:before i'd spend that kind of geetus on a REPAIR , I'd BUY a new Koike  Accu-flow meter. you simply  dial the #of cubic feet per  hour . it is spot on accurate & don't waste your gas or time setting it . no floating ball. I have 2 . one for argon , & one I'm using for c02 , on my sp250 lincoln mig . I love 'em. unless you break (smash or crush) them , they're just about FOOL proof (and I'm a fool )
