Hey guys I'm having a birthday party this weekend for my 1 year old and I really want to make a carnival style dunk tank. Wondering if you have any ideas for the target/seat latch mechanism, the simpler the better. Thanks for any help

Reply:Maybe you could rent a dunk-tank?It'd be a job and a half to prototype and build one in a week.Although the vise-grip release -as described in the patent links Nosleepno and Buhler posted- solves the toughest engineering dilemma.Good call on the patent links:Attachment 23296Pretty good move... Weld a Vise-grip in your design and then patent the mechanism!
