Reply:I would recommend you check with the Canadian Consulate in New Zealand, ask them about job opportunities here in Canada.Western Canada is where the oil is (Alberta, and Saskatchewan), there may be a better chance of getting work there, however the weather is very cold in the winter, and living is very expensive.Like the U.S., manufacturing in Canada has been hit hard, expecially in central Canada (Ontario, where I live), I do see the occasional welding job in the classifieds but the wages are not that great it appears. There are many people in Canada from New Zealand, actually my Sister-in-law almost married one a few years back.Regards from Toronto, Ontario, CanadaWorking on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.
Reply:Which area of Canada are you moving too?Working on cars and bikes is my hobby, learning to weld the pieces together is my quest.
Reply:BC Vancouver area at this point.
