Here are some pics of it. So far so good and man is it strong!Still need to finish a couple of tack welds and make the bracing but as it is its strong as ****.
Reply:Very good. Definately make up some bracing - possibly from the head exhaust flange area to the flange of the turbo.John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com

Reply:What motor is it and what car? What size is the turbo - T3 flanged ?John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Its a BMW M50 non vanos motor, the turbo is an H1E off of a turbo diesel truck T3 flange but T4 sized
Reply:looks like you caught on fast...is all that gonna fit? keep going...its all fun now aint it?...zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:I was going to say it looks like an odd sizing...off a tractor or diesel truck. Looks good! It should work good too. You may find that the turbine side is a tad large. Nothing a good small shot of juice (nitrous) can't make up. John - fabricator extraordinaire, car nut!- bleeding Miller blue! http://www.weldfabzone.com
Reply:Guys here are some updates. Yeah it looks like it wouldn't fit, but thats the hard part! Fabbing this sort of manifold/pipingon an engine seems easy because I have a mock engine to use, but in reality when you compare it to the in-car dimensions, its tricky! I eyed everything up and it all fits first try!Manifold in the car:Looks nice!Wastegate fitted - clears the engine mount by about 3/4"Welding wastegate flange:Getting nice fusion:We'll be dumping the wastegate U-bend straight down
Reply:cool pics looks like you should be "aiming" more at the flange rather than the tubing....just my observation.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
