my grizzly 5x6 bandsaw  cuts nice but came with dinky wheels, little rubber feet and no handle to grab when you need to move it around on the little dinky wheels .fixed it. Attached Images
Reply:Problem SolvedDo the long handles give you enough leverage to lift enough to move.  Looks like they should. It's a real pain to weld the thin material that casters are mounted on.  Looks ok from here. You're really gettin' tooled up"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:i put those handles one inch below my hand. That way i istand up and walk and the pipe legs  are one inch off the ground.the thin plate , i just lay a bead on top of the angle and let the side wash over the plate. meltdown!
Reply:looks good. how do you like the grizzly?
Reply:griizly seems to cut nice and straight. was using a portaband which cut fine but not straight--am starting to fabricate thingsthat require decent fitup and got tired of grinding after the portaband gave me a wavy cut.biggest beef about the grizz and i think its true of all the small bandsaws- nice vise to put large things in but no way to cut small stuff have started to devise a table that will permit small objects to be clampoed  down and cut, will post fotos. in foto one on the base can be seen a 3 holed plate which i took off the back of the vise;in foto 3 you can just see the ms plate i made to duplicate  the factory plate. intent is to weld some pieces off the plate which will pass down and across--under the blade and support a piece of 1/4 plate  maybe 3" wide and 8" long parallel to the blade for a table. aint done yet.
