There's going to be a granite plate on top under a slight angle so the water will allways end up in the small gutter on the backside.Gutter is laser cut and pressed. Holes in tubes are waterjet cut. Cutting was done by a nearby firm. 2 Stainless studs on top and 6 stainless studs in the back tubes for mounting I made myself on my lathe. Used a ghetto solution. It's from a scrap propshaft. . Used 2.4mm and 1mm filler. Pulse DC for the flat welds in the gutter was very convenient. Pickled afterwards and brushed with scotch brite.Heck of a job to keep things perpendicular.
Reply:Nice work, impressive.....Mike
Reply:That looks sweet!!!!!!And then, after so much work...... you have it in your hand, and you look over to your side...... and the runner has run off. Leaving you holding the prize, wondering when the runner will return.
Reply:Nice work that looks great! If you don't want to stand behind our Troops, feel free to stand in front of them.
Reply:That looks really classy. What sort of sink goes on the granite plate, or does it get recessed into it?"One of the things we have to be thankful for is that we don't get as much government as we pay for." Reply:It's just a flat granite plate. The slight angle will keep the water going backwards. It's tested and proven usefull.
Reply:It's gonna look real modern.Do you need shoulders on the side of the granite slab to hold the water in before it gets to the backsplash?"Any day above ground is a good day"http://www.farmersamm.com/
Reply:Nope, the watertap is going to be in the middle and the water will travel mostly backwards, not sideways. Here's the design drawing. The tile effect is due to the rendering bitmap size and I don't know how to change that yet.
Reply:That sounds even more interesting. I can't wait to see the finished item. What sort of angle are you planning on towards the rear? Is this a trend in the Netherlands, or are you leading the way?"One of the things we have to be thankful for is that we don't get as much government as we pay for." Reply:Nice looking work. Too bad the sink top will cover the real art of the structure.I was wondering what the holes in the the rear vertical tubes are for and why were they waterjet cut? Thanks
