torch motions for tig

once a puddle is established what method is used to move puddle along. a steady push forward or a kind of whipping motion where on the backstroke filler is applied. i am currently taking a tig course at local communty college and have about 10 years welding experiance mostly mig. i learned to weld with stick first alot of 6010/6011 and some 7018. since i learned that way i base most of my knwledge on whether a situation will require a whipping motion like 6011 or a drag type motion like 7018. at least that's what's the thought process is when i mig. although i dont usually drag mig but some beads are in my opinion done with hand motions similiar to 6011 and some similiar to 7018. i've also done some o/a welding. now if a puddle is just a puddle no matter what method is used how is the puddle manipulated with tig as far as the torch is concerned. thanks for any help.
Reply:once a puddle is formed..move along slowly twards you and fill from the side of the puddle..not the middle...slow and even..slow and even..slow and even..SLOW AND EVEN.....zap!I am not completely insane..Some parts are missing Professional Driver on a closed course....Do not attempt.Just because I'm a  dumbass don't mean that you can be too.So DON'T try any of this **** l do at home.
Reply:...and there's absolutely no reason to ever move backwards, unless you missed a spot of undercut or something like that.You can add filler from any direction that works well.  It's a preference issue really.  Most like to add it at the front, center.  Obviously, Zapster likes to add it from the side, which can work also.

Reply:I like welding from back to front ( towards me ) adding filler from the side.. I am also left handed ..
